Cabbage Tree Palm (Livingstonia australis)

  

A majestic native Australian Palm which grows well in Sydney Climate. This palm likes fertile wet environments and is abundantly on Australia’s eastern coastline. Well known as a “Cabbage Palm”, this palm is edible and was consumed by the early settlers to compliment their diet. Leaves are self cleaning, this species grows to 5-20m in height a branch spread of 3-5m, this palm is fire tolerant and attracts native birds and butterflies.
